IVANS, Inc. the largest insurance data exchange in the United States for over 28 years, is partnering with MiddleOak to grow its Specialty Habitational business & supporting their Independent Agency Partners by integrating IVANS Commercial Lines Download technology into its policy administration system. The solution, which is part of IVANS Insurance Carrier Exchange platform, enables MiddleOak’s agents to receive new, renewal and endorsement policy information electronically directly from within their management systems, instead of using timely and costly manual processes that require data re-entry.

A customer since 1994, MiddleOak selected IVANS for the project because of the Company’s significant knowledge of AL3 standards and proven best practices in agency-company interface implementations. Further, MiddleOak wanted to leverage IVANS Automation Reporting Solution (ARS), which revealed 71% of their agents were already receiving commercial lines download information with at least one other insurance company within their offices. By having this valuable data at the start of the project, MiddleOak was able to place a solid plot in place that would ensure a strong agent adoption rate and return on investment.

IVANS came up with a flexible solution, allowing us to download in both BOP and CPP formats to our agents depending on how it was entered into their agency management systems.”

IVANS Commercial Lines Download solution synchronizes policy information via batch format that resides on the carrier’s system by electronically updating or loading new policy data into the agency’s management system, resulting in a more holistic view of the insured. Using ACORD standards and integrated with 41 agency management systems, IVANS solution saves time and improves operational efficiencies for agents by reducing the error and omission rate and producing more accurate information. IVANS commercial lines download reduces paper-based and manual processes between agents and carriers, thereby gaining expense efficiency associated with servicing these commercial policies.
